AMI Aviation Awarded FAA PMA for Garmin G950 Retrofit Kits in Beech 1900D Aircraft

SANFORD, FL. – July 30, 2014 – AMI Aviation Services, LLC (AMI Aviation) ( today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) for its comprehensive Garmin G950 installation kits on the Beechcraft 1900D model aircraft.  AMI Aviation can now install these kits at its Orlando/Sanford International Airport (KSFB) hangar location and begin shipments to qualified Garmin dealers worldwide.

The Beech 1900D/G950 PMA kit is fully fabricated and includes all wire harnesses, a precut and assembled instrument panel, electroluminescent (EL) and circuit breaker panels, circuit breakers, all structural parts including prefabricated replacement honeycomb nose equipment shelves, sheet metal brackets, mounts and doublers.  The PMA kit is integral to the STC and was designed to minimize aircraft downtime, which is especially important for scheduled airline and corporate shuttle operators.

Parts Manufacturer Approval requires an intensive, end to end FAA quality system inspection focused on how AMI Aviation designs, manufactures and installs replacement or modified parts for aircraft, including all materials, processes, and appliances used by AMI Aviation.  Dave Doucette, President of AMI Aviation said, “The FAA’s award of PMA for the Beech 1900D kits, as with any of our PMA products, confirms AMI Aviation’s total quality commitment and that we have established the quality system required to make aircraft parts that meet or exceed the objectives and requirements of all applicable FAA, MIL and FAR standards.”
